Six Senses Zighy Bay is proud to announce its rise to #4 in the Middle East Resort Category in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveller 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards, moving up from #5 in 2024. This recognition, determined by the votes of thousands of passionate readers and global travelers, reflects the resort’s continued dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences rooted in cultural authenticity, wellness, sustainability, and adventure.

Guests are invited to engage with the local culture through the resort’s “Sense of Oman: Through a Woman’s Eyes” initiative in collaboration with the Dibba Women Association. Here, they can explore traditional crafts such as date palm weaving, pottery painting, henna art, and spice blending, supporting local artisans while gaining first-hand insight into Omani heritage.

Sustainability lies at the heart of the resort’s philosophy, with the Earth Lab offering guests the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops that include candle and soap making, upcycled glass art, and other creative sessions designed to reduce waste and promote mindful living. These experiences allow visitors to take home not just handcrafted items, but a deeper understanding of environmental responsibility.

Culinary offerings at Six Senses Zighy Bay are just as immersive. From interactive cooking classes showcasing traditional Arabic cuisine and ingredients grown in the resort’s organic garden, to dining experiences across a variety of unique venues, food becomes a sensory journey. Guests can enjoy a relaxed meal at Summer House or Spice Market, savour Bedouin-style regional dishes at Shua Shack on the beach, or celebrate a special evening at the mountaintop restaurant Sense on the Edge. The resort’s Wine Cellar also invites guests on a guided tasting journey led by the in-house sommelier.

Adventurous travellers are well catered for, with a wide range of experiences that include paragliding into the resort’s bay, setting sail on a traditional Omani dhow, kayaking along the coastline, or hiking into the surrounding mountains. Marine conservation plays a significant role in the guest experience, with the Coral Gardener initiative, run in partnership with Extra Divers Zighy Bay, giving guests the chance to plant and name their own coral fragments, contributing to reef regeneration. To date, over 562 fragments have been planted, and in 2024 alone, 16 endangered green turtles were successfully released back into the wild.

Guests can also join snorkelling excursions with the in-house marine biologist or attend educational sessions about marine ecosystems and the endangered turtles that nest on Zighy Bay’s shores, further enriching their understanding of the environment they are invited to enjoy and protect.

Six Senses Zighy Bay combines the comfort and sophistication of a luxury resort with the soul of a cultural and environmental sanctuary. It offers more than just an escape, it invites guests to celebrate with intention, reflect on heritage, and embrace transformative experiences that linger long after the journey ends.
