The newest downtown dining concept features an array of

exquisite European and Japanese cuisine

Now open in the Downtown Dubai District, F.R.N.D.S. Grand Cafe is set to join the ranks of the elite downtown dining circuit. Occupying the spacious ground floor corner unit of Address Fountain Views, F.R.N.D.S. Grand Cafe is the ideal meeting place for sophisticated guests who value style and quality in an upscale atmosphere.

The signature design elements in the restaurant are inspired by the golden era of Art Deco, including a floating walnut and quartzite table suspended from the 6.5 metre-high ceiling and a five-metre-tall grand bar with brass arches, adorned with intricate stained glass. Filled with a premium spirit collection encased in a staggeringly tall display, socialites and working professionals around the area looking for a glass (or two) of the finest beverages can choose handcrafted signature cocktails. Also, a glass-enclosed private dining room situated between towering five-metre-tall wine chillers will be available for discerning guests after a more intimate setting.

An unforgettable piece of art inside the venue is the five-meter tall bas-relief” carving executed by world-renowned Portuguese artist VHILS in the main dining room. The striking female portrait carved into a concrete wall exposing underlying bricks is simply stunning and will become the signature image of F.R.N.D.S. Grand Cafe.

Drawing inspiration from Parisian-style cafes lining the Champs-Élysées, the outdoor terrace situated directly on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Blvd embodies European charm. Enclosed and air-conditioned during the warmer months and open during the cooler season, the space is comfortable year-round. Valet service directly at the entrance of the venue as well as convenient self-parking options is available, providing easy access for guests.

The F.R.N.D.S. Grand Cafe kitchen showcases carefully selected dishes from both Mediterranean and Japanese cuisines, accompanied by world-class pastries. Led by Executive Chef Matthis Grosjean, with his accomplished portfolio including three Michelin-starred restaurants in France, such as Epicure by Eric Frechon in Le Bristol Hotel Paris and L’Auberge by Paul Bocuse in Lyon. Designed for the sophisticated palates of the Downtown crowd, the ethos of the F.R.N.D.S. cuisine concept is simple yet refined, utilising only wild fresh seafood and the finest cuts of meat.

With Japanese cuisine also playing a major role in the F.R.N.D.S. culinary DNA, Chef Adel brings over 20 years of culinary experience from acclaimed Japanese venues such as Nobu. The bar team will be led by award-winning Beverage Manager Emilio Valencia, who has over 12 years of experience in bartending across the globe. Under Emilio’s guidance, the in-house mixologists will craft refreshing cocktails made with premium ingredients from the venue’s vast liquor reserve.

F.R.N.D.S. Grand Cafe features an exceptional late breakfast offering, lunch ideal for business executives and a premium dining experience in the evening. After dinner, the lights dim and the music heats up as the resident DJs transition F.R.N.D.S. into a festive atmosphere for the who’s who of late-night socialites.

The team behind the F.R.N.D.S. Grand Cafe have a secret addition to the space that remains confidential for now…
