Icon Villas has added the magnificent Mjejane Kruger Villa to its portfolio. Privately owned and personally managed, Icon Villas has been operating for 28 years and is widely recognised as a leader in the private villa rental market in South Africa.

The Icon Villas’ Cape Town portfolio includes a choice of more than 100 top-end Bespoke Villas, luxurious Essential Villas, as well as Pocket Villas, which are ‘friendly on the pocket’. The latest addition to the Icon Villas product offering, Journeys comprise of tailor-made itineraries that combine some of the Cape’s most spectacular private villas with the best private safari homes in Southern and East Africa.

Therese Botha, founder and CEO of Icon Villas says that Icon Villa Journeys was developed to meet the need of the international visitor wanting a one-stop villa service. ‘Many of our clients are looking for a holiday that seamlessly connects a private, coastal or city villa stay, with an authentic safari villa experience for a family or group of friends travelling together.’

Mjejane Kruger Villa is situated on the banks of the Crocodile River, providing endless game viewing opportunities and wildlife encounters. It is located within the Mjejane Private Game Reserve, renowned for its diverse wildlife including the Big Five, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park.

The exquisitely designed safari villa can accommodate up to 18 adults and children in eight en-suite bedrooms. It offers high-quality finishes and furnishings along with unparalleled space, elegance and comfort in a wilderness setting. Wood, stone, rattan and other natural materials in earth tones create an inviting ambiance with vibrant African fabrics and artwork adding a touch of local culture and colour to the décor.

Dining and social gathering areas are in abundance, the villa featuring indoor TV lounge and dining areas, and a games room with table tennis and billiards. Designed to make the most of the idyllic setting and the great outdoors, the villa boasts various outside lounge, dining and boma areas, as well as a rooftop terrace and an expansive viewing deck around the swimming pool. A safely enclosed garden comes with well-lit pathways that link the guest suites with the main entertainment area.

Mjejane villa is rented on a self-catering basis, but a dedicated team of staff is on duty to take care of guest needs. A qualified chef is available, as well as a guide with a private game viewing vehicle to take guests on game drives twice a day.
